TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme) :

The college is included as one of the best NetWorking institutions from the state of A.P to participate in WORLD BANK assisted technical education quality improvement Programme -TEQIP.The NPIU has pproved the concise institutional proposal and sanctioned Rs119.357 millions for augmenting the existing infrastructure facilities such as equipment, library, furniture and to provide better training to the staff and students to improve the quality of education.To strengthen the infrastructure facilities and improve research and consultancy activity the institute has approached the World Bank for assistance under TEQIP program. In this connection a pragmatic period objectives, Financial Requirements and the preparedness of the Institution to begin with the program are mentioned here under.
Under TEQIP to promote academic excellence we propose to give much importance to augment the existing facilities and to create central facilities like computer center, library with digital library facility, central CAD center,E class rooms with Video Conferencing Facilities, Media center. We propose to enhance the interaction with industry by involving the eminent people from the surrounding industries to share their experiences and knowledge with the students of RGMCET. Our students will also make visits/study tours to the industries to have first hand information.
Our institution is identified as network institution and we have formal networking with some leading and other network institutions participating in this program to share the Resources, Knowledge and Infrastructure facilities.

The important activities under SONET are :
1. Preparation of Educational CDs of the lectures given by the experts in the
concerned Subjects.
2. Extending Leased Line Internet facility to all its member institutions.
3. Video Conferencing facility.
4. Digital Library of INDEST to its member institutions.
